Eagletree has a 3 axis unit. You can turn down the gain on one axis if you don't want it. I don't know why it would not work in a jet. I think the servo current for each servo is limited to 5 amps.
Hobby King also has a cheap one but you may not want to use that on a jet.

You dont even have to turn down the gain, just dont hook up the channel you choose not to use to the gyro, connect it direct to the reciever. The Aileron axis is required because that carries power to the Eagle Tree system.

I have a couple of them. I am old and my eyes are getting weak. So I put one in and keep it turned off unless I lose sight of the aircraft. Then I turn it on and let it fly the airplane until I can see it again.
I don't fly jets though.
