Default hitec radio programming question

hi. I hope someone out there in rc land can help me. I'm trying to set up an ignition kill switch on one of my large gassers. I am using a hitec 9 channel radio. I am having problems in programming this radio so that channel 7 can be used as a on / off feature for the throttle cut off. I need to simply dedicate one switch to act as an on/ off feature for channel 7 . How do I do the programming for this. Any help is appreciated . thanks.

Which model kill switch?
Many incorporate an electronic switch so simply hit the "System" icon< [Channel] .
Hit "Null" beside Ch7 then select choice of switch, say "F", [Set] <Return. = sorted (Confirm on monitor)
If no electronic switch, then obtain one (examples)and set as above.
