Default Nitro plane power switch

Im building my first nitro plane i am installing the power switch which has 3 wires coming from it 2 small connectors and 1 big that i know connects to the RX battery pack. My question is do i use both of the small connectors or am i only using one i know one of them has to go to the RX.

One goes to the RX as input power and one goes to a charger external from the aircraft. When the switch is on the battery power goes to the RX. When the switch is off, the battery is connected to the charger lead.

Usually the two leads that are on one side of the switch are the battery and charger leads. The other lead on the other side of the switch goes to the RX battery input.

Have fun.

Normally you would also purchase a charge port so you can charge the battery from the outside without removing wing to get to charge connector.

What I do is buy a switch that has a charge port built in. The quality of the switch is also much better then the normal $5 switch you can buy at your LHS or comes with your radio and servo's. All your power is running thru the switch and if anything should happen you lose your plane. It's one place I don't skimp.

http://www.electrodynam.com/rc/usw/index.shtml There are clones out there for less money but also less quality.

These are 3 wire switch harnesses, so if your a Speky guy, you can bind directly through the charge jack, or you can balance charge a 2S LiFe/A123 pack through the charge jack if you have the battery wired up to do so by breaking the signal wire in the lead going to the receiver. Works like a charm. No need to get to the balance tap on the battery.

Is this one at Tower (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...3&I=LXPNU2&P=K) a clone "for less money but also less quality?" It says it is made by EMS (not Electrodynamics).
