Default 6 channel TXs and 4 channel RXs

Hey all,
I am looking at getting a 6exa and was wandering if in the future I get a new plane that requires only 4 channels if I can save a few $$s and just get a 4 channel flight pack?
Thanks a lot

there are VERY FEW 4 channel receivers, most are 7 channel and above, but if you have 4 channel such as micro size receiver packages, they wil work just fine. so will 8 and 9 channel receivers as long as they are the proper shift/brand compatible, etc.
