Default Futaba abbreviations

Could someone please help? I have a Futaba T8FG that I just bought and I"m trying to program it for different aircraft's I have. I cannot for the life of me figure out all the abbreviation that the manual and the radio uses such as SC,SB,SR,SC,SF, SD, SG, J, etc, etc,etc. What am I missing or is senility setting in? Thank You.

Default RE: Futaba abbreviations

Have a look at p13 of the manual the picture shows the transmitter with labels referring to the switches , SA ,SB etc.refer to the switches, T1,T2 etc are the trim switches and J1-4 are the joystick functions apart from the J's the trims and switches are labelled on the transmitter itself as are the side sliders RS & LS and the rotary dials on the front LD,RD. Futaba seem to do it this way as you can assign most of the switches to suit you.

When I changed over to Futaba I found their terminology strang but got the hang of it after a while.

The "S" refers to a switch.
SA = Switch A on the TX
SB = Switch B

Look at the TX, each switch is labeled. ALso take a look at Page 13 of the manual which shows the switch labeling.
