What transmitter do you have? I'm not aware of any later Futaba transmitters that were not mode switchable. Some older 512 PCM transmitters were PCM only but I'm not aware of any PCM 1024 transmitters that couldn't be switched to PPM.

Any Futaba 1024 PCM receiver should work with any 1024 transmitter if it is on the same frequency.

I have 2 Futaba Conquest FP-T6NPK PCM transmitters. One has a FP-R-127DP receiver.. channel 45. I need another PCM receiver on 26. I have read a little bit about this receiver and a 1024 I do not have concrete information about the 1024 receiver will it or not work with this transmitter? I have read that it will not work "Maybe" or Should work.

The Futaba Conquest PCM transmitter was the older 512 system. The FP-R127DP receiver that came with that radio was switchable between 512 and 1024 PCM. You will probably have to find another one of those older receivers. That radio is getting some age on it now too, You might be better off spending the money on a newer radio.

The early versions of the Conquest PCM tx's were 512 and later were 1024, they were not switchable to standard FM. The 127DP rx was made in 512 and 1024 to match tx and were not switchable, they were eaither 512 or 1024 and would only work one way or the other. They were not marked to which they were, but I don't beleive there were as many made 512. I believe some of the later 1024 tx's were marked as 1024, not sure if yours are or not.

Any of the current 1024 Futaba rx's will work with your 1024 tx, but unless the tx is marked 1024, you may want to just get a 26 Futaba rx crystal first to check if it works with your current rx, 99% chance it will. They radios you have will work fine, and the Futaba FM/PCM rx's are cheap (usually about $10 used), but sometimes using them aren't cost effective if you have to change out/replace batteries. The old nicads were only good for about 3-5 years. If they are the older 512 PCM, finding another 512 rx is very difficult.

Hope this make sense and helps.

The Futaba Conquest PCM was 512 PCM and the transmitter is PCM only as well as 512 PCM only and that's the bottom line. Nothing but those very difficult to find Receivers will work. It is very dated and the Receivers for it have been out of production for many, many years.

That old Conquest is so old as well a featureless that I would not care to use it for daily use but then agine that's me, time to move on and get some modern equipment.

Thinks guys. All the info I have read was leaning in that direction. I just let on of those 127dp slip through on e-bay but it was above 30 dollars.

Little humer for John and the rest of ya. Years ago I was told "Don't think in terms of cost effective in this hobby". that was right after my first build and 6th solo with this plane [ Last and final flight ] Goldberg Sr.falcon. I would say still my favorite plane to this day and that's been 30 yrs.

That is what I remember about the Conquest being 512 only. Futaba's archived info listed that old receiver as being 512 - 1024 switchable but of course if the transmitter was 512 that's what the system was. I also remember those old systems being very s-l-o-w! You could actually move the stick and detect a bit of a delay before the servo would move. It always seemed like the airplane was way behind stick movement .... which it was. Similarly, the Airtronics Vanguard PCM of the same era was almost identical to the Futaba Conquest in features and performance. JR had a similar 512 system. I don't miss those days at all and most any of the PPM radios of the era out performed these early PCM systems.
