Registering dx7

Registering dx7
Why is it so damn hard to interpret the code number I have tried o zero I have tried 0, I have tried a combination of both, I get error messages saying it is not correct it is not an 'I' it is a lowercase L . who what devizes this stupid arrangement, this was bought for a 6 year , this is not user friendly at all, I wish I had got him a futaba, !!!
Any ideas would be great as spectrum have not replied !

Perhaps you could take a photo and post here, I'm sure we can decipher it.
If you don't feel comfortable posting it publicly send it to me with a PM and I'll take a look.

Thanks for your reply, I took it back to the model shop and they did it, I already own a dx8 and never had this problem registering it , anyway thanks for your reply.

For those who may come along behind...
Go to the Serial Number screen.
Insert an SD card.
Select EXPORT.
Remove card.
Put in PC.
Open the SD card file named "My_DX7S.XML" (or My_DX8, or My_DX9, etc.)
Find the section that has the serial number in it. Highlight the whole serial number portion (compare it to the serial on the display to make sure you get it all). Copy it using Control-C or right-click and pick "copy"
On the registration screen, paste into the serial number field.
Fill in the rest of the questions and click the submit button.
Done.
