any 2.4Ghz radio and receiver

Can I run any 2.4GHz receiver with any 2.4GHz radio? For instance a spectrum receiver with a futaba radio?

simple answer is no

this has been asked and answered in detail many times on this and other forums, try doing a search for 'compatible receivers' or '2.4G compatible' or similar. Lots of details on compatible conversion capabilities too.
