Default Turnigy 9x Transmitter. What is this part and what does it do?

Does anyone know what this metal V looking piece is and if so, what function does it serve in the Turnigy 9x transmitter? It looks like there are two metal pads that it contacts on the opposite side of the radio. Just curious.

It looks like a grounding strip to me.
