Question Best transmitter for a combat robot

We're getting into our second year of 15lb combat robots and we had issues with our transmitter last year. We have a DX6i and it would drive the bot, but one side would spin faster than the other and we could never figure out why or figure out the correct adjustments. Is there a dual stick transmitter that would work better for our bot?

Two possible reasons for this:

1) The two channels have different travel amounts. Compare them on the monitor screen.

2) The two ESCs are not matched well.

The good news is you can take care of both with your existing DX6i. Simply adjust the Servo Travel option accordingly.

If you need asymmetrical adjustment, you should look at the new DX6. It has nice capabilities allowing you to mix throttle and other channels to each other (you can't mix to Throttle in a DX6i).

We did play around with the travel amounts and a few other options with no luck. It could be that the escs are not matched well, but we are just learning and don't really know. This is what we are using
