I have these in my trucks. Been running over a year with no issue.

Middle of the road servo for me. I'm usually a Hitec/Hobbico fan, but ProTek is becoming to be another favorite of mine

For anyone that's been using the Solar servos, I purchased a few D771's and set two of them up on the bench connected to a Futaba R7008SB via decoders on the SBus-2, with a 2S LiFe battery driving them. They seem to react and hold fine, and while I detect no visible twitching, both of them sound like a Geiger counter all while the power is on (lots of ticking noises). Any idea what causes this, and is it a problem?

If they are not dithering they are fine. With that high voltage the deadband might be a bit tight.Run them a bit and see if they quite down,

Tonight I'll try the setup with a 4.8v battery, and see if there's a difference. Never heard anything like this before - it's kind of odd. Doesn't sound like the usual motor glitching, and I don't see or feel any movement in the output shafts.

They make a lot of noise. They are always trying to reach center. Mine tic, click, buzz, hum, when just sitting there. Nothing to worry about. They are about as noisy as the old analogs were quiet. if you put a servo arm on and give just a touch to them, they will make more noise.

Yeah, I noted that they make the normal buzzing type of noise when under load. It's the zero-load zero-input clicking that I don't get. I tried it tonight with a 6v and a 4.8v pack, SBus and direct, and with an Orange FASSt compatible receiver, and the same noises occurred each time. Weird...

I was too lazy to haul out the 72Mhz stuff last night. Maybe over the weekend.
