Default Spektrum dx18 gen2 switch H not working?

Hi everyone, I recently bought a new dx18 radio. I am setting up my first plane with it. I am trying to set up dual rates with switch H and it doesn't seem to be activating. All of the other switches and knobs seem to activate but not switch H. Is there something I am missing to make it activate? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

First thing to do is check the switch itself. Power radio on with Back and Clear and it will boot into Raw Input test screen. Toggle the switch and you should see 0&1 next to H when changing its position. If it is working then please attach your SPM (model) file
with switch H assigned to D/R so I can see what you have going.

And then make sure you have installed the latest version of AirWare by registering your radioat https://Community.SpektrumRC.com

Hi,
I am having the same problem. I booted into "raw" setup and all switches work except for H. Do I need to send the radio back to Horizon or can I resolve this myself? Any help will be appreciated.

I would first open it up to see why it doesn't work. It could be as simple as a plug not properly seated.

Thanks Andy
I am not sure I want to crack open a new radio. I guess it will be going back to the store of Horizon. What a bummer.

The manual tells you how to open it about page 40. I wouldn't give up so easily.

Thank you Andy,
I opened the back of the radio and nothing appeared to be loose. I went ahead and gently pressed every connection I could get to along with one that appeared to be connected to the "H" switch and the switch now appears to work! Let's hope nothing else happens. The radio arrived with a puffy and dead battery now this .

Thank you so much for responding to my post so late in the evening. Greatly appreciate the help.

Default Found the issue

Opened up the transmitter and noticed the wires where pinched. The little slit they built for the wires to fit in was not big enough. Took a hobby knife and cut a bigger opening (two places that the wires pass through), no more issues.
