Pulse 3600 2S is what I got for mine. Do a search for checking out photos of that. Its EC3 leads had to be snipped off and shrink-tubed to fit in the batt compartment. Battery door won’t close unless you buy the expanded size battery cover on eBay.

Look specifically for a 2S lipo that is designed for Tx or Rx use. A Tx lipo should have a very low C rating to avoid puffing when left fully charged for long periods of time.
a lipo that comes with an EC3 or XT60 plug will have too high of a C rating for Tx use

You'll probably need to splice on a Hitec battery connector from your old battery, or did Hitec switch to using a servo connector on the 9X battery?

In a Hitec Mfg forum in RCG, this topic was discussed. I had an image of it that I posted there.

The Pulse battery is a snug fit without the EC3 connectors, but it does come with a JR-styled connector that slides in without issue. Just insure correct polarity when inserting connector.

I have both and both are doing very well. I can use my EC3 charge cable to charge. REMEMBER to change the TX settings from NiMH to LiPo.
