Default Channel for each servo or Y harness

I'm having trouble having enough channels to do each aileron servo separately connected.
what are drawbacks of using Y harness.
Plane requires
1 rudder servo
2 elevator
1 throttle
1 kill switch
2 aileron

1 have Spektrum 7 channel BUT its a helicopter transmitter?????
I'm not able to program it to do what I want....I didn't know heli was different?

It's not different other than some switch positions and a smooth throttle stick
