Default Is A Metal Cable For Throttle OK Using Du-Bro E/Z Connector

I have an old OS Max H60F Gold Head that has a cable type of push rod that is connected to it's carburetor using an Du-Bro Kwik-Grip E/Z Connector. So the cable is metal and the connector is metal. Is there anything wrong with doing this at this point in time? Use to be a no-no when on 72 MHz radios and earlier. Please see photo and let me know if it's OK to us as shown. FYI, I'm using a Spectrum AR7000 receiver. Thank you.

This is the method used to connect throttle cable to carburetor.

The only problems I ever heard of with metal throttle cables was with gasoline (spark ignition) engines causing RFI. since your engine is glow you'll be fine with it as is...

I used a metal pushrod with a metal clevis once and it was very bad. The pushrod rubbed against the firewall and created all sorts of electronic noise. Changed to a nylon clevis and the problem went away. In your case the metal seems to be protected from the firewall by the nylon sleeve. I think you are ok, at least to try it.
