Hi everybody:
I am interested in two models, one comes without the TX and asks for a "Full-range 5–6+ channel Spektrum™ DSMX®/DSM2® compatible transmitter" as needed to complete, while the other one comes with a "Spektrum DXS DSMX® 2.4GHz Transmitter".
Q:
Can I link both models to the same TX?
Thanks, Robert.

Well, some say No. And there is a link to a discussion where it is said that while it may seem to work, it won't. By that I mean it wil bind but then it may fail in flight.
What's that cable? What do I connect to it? the TX and the RX for programming?

They didn't say it wouldn't work. You WILL have to do things, like either set up both models so the same controls act exactly the same, OR set up two different configurations for the transmitter so that each gets the settings it expects.
It will not lose connection and fail during flight. The connection will be the same for both. Which actual receiver is in the model is immaterial - they're Spektrum DSMX receivers. The receiver is going to receive and send along the information. The flight controller is what needs to get the right information on the right channels. Since you're talking two BNF models, they'll work the same, or nearly so.
The SPMA3065 cable is used to configure and program both transmitters and receivers. You won't need it for those receivers or flight controllers, but you might need it for the transmitter so that you can adjust the settings for each model and save/restore those settings when you want to fly a different plane.
It will work, but it might not be convenient. That's why folks recommended getting a slightly higher transmitter, one with an LCD. That makes changing between two different models brain dead simple.

Thanks!
I realised that lacking a LCD screen would make it hard to swap between models as I normally do with other radios.
Anyway I don't need that SAFE or controller at all, I fly my scratch-built models as "stick and rudder" pilot. But as there is a chance I will travel to USA soon, I'd like to buy a plane as a "flying souvenir", those two models are on my list.
Thanks again for the useful info!
