Default Which S.BUS2 HUB for two telemetry sensors?

Dear all

What kind of HUB do I need to connect to telemetry sensors the the S.BUS2 port in a Futaba R7014sb FASSTest?

Futaba hubs are very pricy, but I can get a ROBBE (9702918) hub for 8 EUR. Will it work with Futaba?
Could I actually just use any Y-harnesses? It is hard to see that a HUB it isn’t just a plain Y-harnes.

The "S-Bus Hub" is just a Serial connection.
The item you show will work just fine.

Hi Modtron

Thanks for the info 😃 So both S.BUS and S.BUS2 are just Y-harness with no hidden internal filter or tiny electronics?
May I ask how you know this?

Correct - both work as serial connections.
S-Bus is an output port for S-Bus items.
S-Bus 2 is a 2 way communication port for telemetry sensors as well as connection for some gyro's & servo's etc.

Details can be found in the manuals for each S-Bus receiver.

Default Which S.BUS2 HUB for two telemetry sensors?

If you're looking for an S.BUS2 hub to connect two telemetry sensors, there are several options available on the market that may suit your needs. One popular choice is the FrSky 2.4G 16CH Taranis X9D Plus SE Transmitter Special Edition w/ M9 Sensor & S.BUS RX & X8R Receiver, which includes a S.BUS2 hub that can connect up to 16 channels and supports telemetry data.

Another option is the FrSky S.BUS2 Telemetry Hub, which is a standalone hub that can connect up to four sensors and transmit data to your receiver or flight controller. This hub is designed to work with FrSky sensors and receivers, but it may also be compatible with other brands that use the S.BUS2 protocol.

Thanks, but that shouldn’t be necessary if I can use plain servo Y-harness, or am I missing something?

This is correct -

Porpellars - the whole idea of the 'Bus' is that all sensors or servos get: Power , Ground and Signal. They all hear the entire chain of signals but as they have an 'address' only respond to what is meant for them.

Only consideration is power and that 1 line doesn't have too much of a load.

Thanks Mickstrr

In that case it seems like that is kept unspoken by the producer, to allow high prices on their SBUS hubs.

Fine for me, as long as I know what to do 😊.

I just thought there were a filter of a kind in the hubs, which could justify the special price.
