Veles 29 Loses Speed
Hi,
I have a Horizon Hobby Veles 29 which has been a pretty good boat. A while back, in the middle of a full speed run, it dropped down to about 50% power. I brought it in and found the speed controller was flashing red. I shut it off, shut off the controller and restarted, control first then ESC. Solid green light. Put it back in the water, made one full speed run, then again, halfway thru the second run, drops to half speed.
I contacted Horizon and they suggested replacing the ESC, which I did. Went back out, same thing. One good run then half speed and flashing red light on the ESC. I went back to Horizon and they said to send the boat in. Well, it's 4 years old, just spent $150 on a new ESC which obviously wasn't the issue.
I checked the remote control batteries and they are fine. boat batteries, 95%.
Any thoughts as to what else to try?
