Default DX9 wont update

I have an older DX9 transmitter that I want to update to the forward programming on one of my receivers. I bought the trans. new in 2018 and registered it right away. Never updated it as I never saw the need.To do the forward programming it says that it needs to update. Bought a couple of new SD cards and downloaded the updates from the website. Put the card into the trans. ,went to the proper area in the programming and nothing. Tried both cards ,properly formatted , looked at the Youtube vids. and nothing . Tried to download the profiles for backup and nothing. What am I missing? Could the SD reader be bad?

SanDisk SDXC UHS-1 64GB. I've checked , the computer is writing the update to the card.

Yea, that ain't gonna work.

You need an old 2 gig or smaller than 32gb card that's class 4

That big class 10 stuff won't work on those

On the download page is a "How To" that tells you all about what you need for compatibility. You might want to check it out in case you run into problems with your new card too.

The limits are 32 gig or smaller, Class 6 or lower. If you're using a card from SanDisk or Toshiba then some Class 10 cards will work.

For the NX radios we (finally, as of version 3.07) got rid of those limitations and support up to 128 gig cards SDXC and SDHC (but not SDUC). I haven't tried with a 256 gig card yet. Cards > 32 gig need to be in ExFAT format (I know, this is a DX thread, but NX readers will see it too).
