Default Ignition interference when using switch on power board

Hello All

I'd like some feedback on using ignition switch function on my power distribution boards. These boards take your receiver outputs to a distribution board where 1 rx output can drive up 4 servos. Cheap boards just pass signal along from RX to servo. SmartFly have electronics to match each output per servo. Akk these boards have a simple opto-couple switch for ignition power.

My first gas experience, decades ago, said you have to have 9 inches between any radio equipment and Ignition equipment. So a ignition switch on the board means there is not this spacing. The ignition lead can bring noise to the board. So....I am leery on using this switch.

So tell me.....how many of you have used this ignition switch on the distribution board? Any issues? any suggestions to ensure success? If I use this switch, I will still separate RX batteries and Ignition battery by the greatest distance the plane setup will allow.

thanks for the thoughts.

Likely no issue with modern components. The only way you generally get ignition interference with 2.4 systems is if you have a loose or bad plug cap

I would agree with @BarracudeHockey but nothing beats extensive rang testing and buying quality switches.
