Talking New FUTABA T26SZ to replace the 18SZ!!!

https://www.rcjapan.net/index.php?ma...jr897e99b39th7

This transmitter looks like it has support for the new 900MHz Band and is a fraction of the
price of the 32MZ!

My 8 year old 18SZH still works great but if the price is right?

From what I heard, the advertised price does not include the 900MHz module.

It is also not compatible with existing FASST rx's?

Default New 900MHz Module

What are the advantages of using the 900MHz Module over the existing 2GHz band?
I would hope it still has frequency hopping, but is there a longer range and what power level is transmitted?

Yes I do not think the unit comes with this module, it is extra.

from the link in the first post

"This model is sure to meet the needs of such enthusiasts.

It is also equipped with a number of new features, such as the new FASSTest 26-channel communication system.

This model is the crystallization of Futaba's long-accumulated know-how and solid track record,

It is a gem that is no less than a high-end class product."

"2.4GHz FASSTest, S-FHSS/T-FHSS system compatible"

So much for backward compatibility......

Looks like there are a BUNCH of existing older RF formats left out of that description which only includes the latest most expensive version the "2.4GHz FASSTest" and the newer two cheapy formats.

All you guys with older Futaba 2.4 rx's can kiss 'em goodbye.

notice the use of the word,"also"

implies that not everything it will do is mentioned in the add copy.

best to wait to see the actual spec sheet on it before jumping to any conclusions.

Nah, I don't have to wait on Futaba anymore as I now fly PowerBox CORE radios......
