can't find the servo!!!
As much as I try, I just can't seem to find the s9351!
I need a high tourqe (and speed) servo, at least 130 oz/in.
I am using FUTABA all around so I want to stick to it.
Where can I find that servo? (best if can order by e-mail)
any other servos good for the job?
will hitec or jr (digitals) work with my futaba reciever?
While I'm at it, I am a bit confused,
I'm plan on using r149dp with s9451 all around (6 pcs) with 2* 3000 mAh 6V,
no regulators! Will the servos take it? they are 6V compatible...

RE: can't find the servo!!!
Fortunately, nearly all brands of servos work with any brand of receivers. there might be slight differences in the connectors but most use a universal connector now. As long as the plugs will mate and the plus and minus leads do not get reversed, they will work. Futaba connectors have a small flange you may have to remove to use a Futaba servo in other brands of receivers.

RE: can't find the servo!!!
Thanks Rodney.
I just have this unexplained fear of mixing brands.
do you remember which brand (hitec\jr) is reversed polarity to futaba, I remember one of the has a problem don't remember which one.
What do you think about the 6v packs?servos will work w/o regulators?
If you come across that futaba s9351...

RE: can't find the servo!!!
hitec and futaba are fully compatible...only difference is that they turn in different direction sout of the box, but is easily changed by reversing the servo into the correct oorientation.
a mixed futaba hitec system is Ok as far as servos go...

RE: can't find the servo!!!
This is a receiver issue, not a servo issue.

the older airtronics servos had the + and - reversed on the lead and would cause a whole bunch of nasty problems when plugged into non-airtronics devices.
recievers are a different story. airtronics and jr use a positive shift so their tx and rx work together. futaba and hitech use negative shift and work together.
many newer radios allow you to select + or - shift and some aftermarket recievers will work with both.
