Default digatal servos for a 50 size heli

i am planning to get digitals for my heli but which 1 should i choose . i am planning on getting the Hitec HS-5945MG for CCPM control as they give u very hi torque especially on a 50 size . actually i want to get JR DS811 but 1 problem , i am using a futaba receiver with a 9CHP . i never consider using futaba digital servos as all of them are maily meant for 30 sizes .

ANY imput is greatly appreciated!

You can use 811s with a Futaba receiver.

Metal-geared servos will wear and develop slop a lot more quickly than will resin-geared servos. This is due to the amount of high-frequency vibration typically found in helis.

For this reason I'd recommend that you go with the JR DS-811 over the HS-5945. The 5945 is actually a better servo, but the gears will need replacement more frequently.

How about S9252's, or S9151's... Why is Futaba alway's left out in the digital servo market? I don't know who told you that Futaba digital's are made more for 30 size but that is totally false. the S9151 is twice as powerful as the 811 and the S9242 is almost twice as powerful with significantly faster transit time. Both utilize a nylon gear train which is better suited for heli's. There should be no question as to what's a better servo, you will just have to pay more for the Futaba's. But you get what you pay for, as they say.

You might want to look at the Hitec 5975HB that is primarliy designed for Heli's. It is a coreless motor, programable digital servo like the 5945MG but it uses the new "Karbonite" gear train technolgy that is 4 times stronger than standard nylon and elliminates wear and slop completely. Here's the specs .10sec@109in/oz (6V)

The JR 811 would compare to the Hitec 5475HB servo not the 5945MG, that would be the 8411.

i think i will go with Righthrust now, i will get the S9252 . sorry Mike but i don't think i will go with those "karbonite" servos after reading alot(98%) of bad comments at another thread http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/Hite...1100946/tm.htm . eg. shaft breaking etc.
