GAIN at the GYRO? GAIN at the radio? If you leave the gain at the gyro set to 100%, then you can adjust the end points of the gyro sensitivity channel at the radio and they will be linear. That is to say, they will be the same size steps as if you changed the gain at the gyro itself. If you set the gyro gain on the gyro to 50%, then each 1% change at the radio would have twice the effect (since there is half as much room to adjust) as if 1% change was made at the gyro

171,
If you are using a dual rate gyro, the up and down settings are the 2 rates. Set the type to NOR

If you are using a heading hold gyro, the up and down settings are the HH and non-HH settings. Set the TYPE to GY/AVC.

If you change the switch to CONDITION then you have a gain setting for each of your separate conditions.

171, assuming that is what your settings are for each switch position, yes, exactly.

I'd recommend you download the US manual at www.futabarc.com/ you might find it helpful (at least I hope so...I wrote it. :-)
