Default More throw on Flaps with mixed with a switch

I used the neat little flap mixing to get my flaps to work on the three position switch on my 8UAF. The problem is I get alot more throw when using the dial. With the channel 6 dial I get about 50 - 60 degrees of flap at full extention. Using the 3 position switch I am limited to about 25-30 degrees. Anybody know what's going on and how I get the travel back? I have the percent set a 60 for position one and 100 for position 2. I really like the switch over the flap when landing a warbird.

Snyder,
Sure do. Your switch is working from center of the dial to bottom; your dial, obviously, is working its whole travel.

To get the servo to throw farther, double the mix. that is to say repeat the same mix at 100%. Now you get up to center and then center to down available in your travel.

Default Flaps

Ann Marie,

To repeat the mix I just use Pmix 3 and 4 just like I did pmix 1 and 2 for the first one? I'm confused I guess as pmix 2 is already at 100%. Thanks for the reply.

Snyder,
Yes. You need to get twice the amount of travel -- because you're thinking like a throttle servo -- from one extreme to the other. But the radio thinks like an elevator servo -- from center to left or center to right.

So mixes 3 and 4 need to duplicate mixes 1 and 2 exactly. or, if mix 1 is less than 50%, you can just double the travel on mix 1.
