Have you switched on "beep" in the boot-up menu?

Default Ummmmmmmmmmmm

Where do I do this? Boot up menu? I did it once and all other times I just get a nice quiet totally useless timer. Going to take the 33% extra up for the first time tomorrow and really need a beep. Thx Harry.

Oops, red herring, BEEP doesn't affect the timer. But to get into the boot up menus Hold down the M button and switch on, then release M button. That takes you into "Power-ON menu 1", which is channel check and scan. Press + to go to menu 2 then + again to menu 3. Press M to continue booting up.

Only timers 1 and 2 will beep, so make sure you are not using timers 3+

Here we go! menu 1, timer/count. Co-Pilot should be OFF. Timer 1 should be ON. Select Timer 1 and press +, it shows timer 2, press + again, it shows minutes which should be OFF (is only for co-pilot), press + again it shows SPEECH and with the bottom right button (not shown on screen you can select beeps in UP/DOWN or DN ONLY - I set mine to UP/DOWN.

I suspect that you have Copilot=ON or Timer 1=OFF
