HiTec to JR buddy cord
I am looking for a way to use my JR quattro radio (slave) as a buddy for my HiTec Eclipse (master).
Do you know if this is possible and how to construct a buddy cord for this or where I can buy one?
Thanks,
Jock

RE: HiTec to JR buddy cord
JR and Hitec do not use the same servo channel order or trainer port signal levels, so a direct connect is not possible. You could incorporate this circuit to make it work: http://www.welwyn.demon.co.uk/lead/lead.htm

RE: HiTec to JR buddy cord
Hi Jock,
I don't know the JR Quattro. If it's a radio where you can simply switch the connections of the potmeters of the sticks (or de-solder and solder them) then you could overcome the problem of different servo channel order.
For the trainer port signal levels, most of the times it works without modification, somethimes you'll have to inverse the signal with some very simple electronics (1 transistor, 1 diode and 2 resistors).
Check-out my website for more info about it.
