Default Low cost receiver on ham band

I need a low-cost receiver (for three-channel foamie - electric). I would like to use my JR transmitter that has elevon mixing (10x) but it is on the ham band. Ideally the receiver would be around $50 and weigh 0.5 ounce. What are my choices?

Check out the Berg 5. 5 Channels, small and light, DSP signal integrity checking, and only $49.00! And it can be expanded to 9 channels too, if you decide to move up.
Full range, too . . . Have a look at www.bergent.net for details. I use these in Zagis and other aircraft with my 10X and 8103 - works beautifully!

You should be able to get a "Module" for the transmitter on 72mhz,for about the cost of ONE 50mhz receiver.I don't want to push you away from 50mhz(I fly on 50mhz myself),But there are far more receiver choices on 72mhz and their usually cheaper too.

Check out FMADIRECT.COM

Very nice and I've found much more reliable than the Bergs.

The FMA receivers are also a lot more $$$$. For some reason they think that for 50MHz, the same RX should cost more - Berg does not.
