Default Airtronics Infinity Tx Module Freq. Change?

I picked up a used Airtronics Infinity transmitter. I've got 2 questions about changing the transmitter frequency:

1. Can I buy a new transmitter module and crystal and just plug them in to change the frequency without tuning etc.? The new module will be on 50 MHz and the old one that came with the transmitter is on 72 MHz (I have a HAM license). I don't know if this would make a difference or not.

2. If I want to use the existing 72 MHz module, but change the frequency by swapping out the Tx crystal will this new module need to be sent back to Airtronics for tuning before use, or are the Airtronics Tx modules "plug-and-play" with different crystals?

Thanks!

Default RE: Airtronics Infinity Tx Module Freq. Change?

If you only change the module, airtronics Infinity is plug and play. Plugging in a 50 mhz module converts the tx to 50 mhz.

If you want to swap the crystal in the module, the module needs to be checked for alignment to the new crystal.

Hope this helps
