RADIO QUESTIONS AM & FM

If you have an AM rx for example 75 hz chanel 79 and you buy an fm radio 75hz chanel 79 would it work.

Though the frequency is the same the modulaters and demodulaters must work the same to process the signal ( Am or Fm ) properly.
