Default JR Datasafe Ultra - I was disapointed until I saw the price...

At last there's a flexible, feature-packed PC interface that's designed expressly to help you exploit the full power of your PCM10X radio. As innovative and easy-to-use as the original DataSafeā„¢ was, you'll find that DataSafe Ultra is a quantum leap forward. You'll enjoy all the setup protection, storage and communication capabilities of the original, but it'll all be tailored to the code numbers of your 10X

Looks good doesn't it? Unfortunately, XP8103 owners are left out in the cold; but then, it's a whopping $295! [X(]

MacGregor in the UK will be releasing DataXchange pretty soon (beta is available) that will work with the current DataSafe, allow you to swap setups between JR models, program on the screen, transfer setups and so forth. That seems a much better value. I don't think the package will be anywhere near that $295.

GB2,
Do you have any more information on this? For example, the web address and whether it would work with a US XP8103DT?

You can find out more information at the MacGregor site

www.macgregor.co.uk

According to Mark Christy (the programmer), yes it will work with our 8103 US unit just fine. I think the holdup on the final release is getting information from JR regarding the 9x so it can be included in the released program. In any case, upgrades will be free. Certainly will be a vast improvement over the current DataSafe software.

The price is expected to be in the region of GBP 50 which at the current rate of exchange should be approx USD 90 ish.......

That is the latest I have heard from young Mark. I will try and clarify the situation once he is back from Nuremburg.
