Default How do I program 9CAP so throttle is less sensitive?

I know this has been asked before, but I couldn't find the right answer. I have a LiteMachines heli (fixed pitch) and my throttle is too sensitive in that when I click up one notch on the throttle (ratcheted throttle), it's too much. I know there is a way to program the 9CAP (non heli version) throttle so that the servo only moves half the amount with each ratchet, but I can't find it in the menu. I'm pretty sure this isn't throttle expo, correct?

Open your transmitter and turn the ratchet paw upside down. This will make it smooth. You can go in and change the expo of the throttle to change the curve.

It doesn't completely smooth it out. You have to file the indentations down. That's what I did for airplane flying and I love it.

Try putting fuel tubing (slitted) over the ratchet

If it is not completely smooth, then just remove it completely and put it up so you can find it.

So there isn't a way to program it? I don't want to remove or turn the ratchet around. Expo is the way to do it then?

Negative Expo on the 9c throttle will make the throttle less sensitive in the mid-range, but more sensitive near idle or full throttle.

Actually expo on the throttle only makes the low end less sensitive, not the middle. In addition to switching out the ratchet paw (I did this the other day when setting up my first heli), you can go into heli programming and set a five point throttle curve. The way you can decrease the sensitivity around mid stick.

I know there is a way to program the 9CAP (non heli version) throttle so that the servo only moves half the amount with each ratchet, but I can't find it in the menu.
Your 9CAP has the Heli software. Simply change the TYPE Parameter. Open the MODE/PAGE select PARAMETER, scroll down to HELI and activate it. You'll see the throttle curve on page 2.

Check your manual for specifc programming needs or see Futabas website for lots of pointers.

I've been using my 8UAFS for three years now. I've been hovering my Giant Stinger and SPA3D'S so much, I've wore my indentations off.
