Just send your transmitter back to Hobbico and they will repair it for free under warranty. Total turnaround time for my repair was two weeks.

You can set the timer to a different switch without losing your endpoint. It's when assign a different throttle position for the timer to activate that causes the endpoint to reset.

Only when you hold the dial to accept the new throttle position will the endpoint reset.

Have we posted this to death yet?

Dsegal....they actually resolved this glitch for you?

Glad to see that the reviewer in Model Airplane News 2004 Buyers Guide didn't miss this problem in his review. That splat of bad publicity ought to push Futaba in to 1) correcting the problem (is it corrected on new purchases?) and hopefully 2) recall via warranty registration information all of our faulty transmitters.

The shop replaced a chip in the transmitter. I have just gotten around to doing a careful test and everything works OK now. I set up two (dummy) models, one with a single aileron servo and the other with dual (flaperon) servos. The throws were 100% for the ailerons in both cases. Then I activated the model timer for each dummy model and looked at the throw ranges on the LCD display. Still at the correct 100% value both ways.

I've been out of it for a few months, health issues.......

Has Futaba recalled 7CAP's for a fix?

I only learned that others had the problem through this forum. I never heard of any kind of official notification of the issue from Futaba.
