Default Second Reciever Question

I have recently purchased the new JR 6102 for a new plane. Last night I bought a second receiver for another plane I already have and have a few questions.

1) They sold me a crystal for the rx for the channel of my new radio. Do I need to have this installed by someone and tested (tuned)? Or is that just for the tx? I do not want to have any issues with causing another plane to go dowm or my own.

2) If it is ok for me to install the crystal, do I need to glue it in or put anything on it?

Thanks in advance,
MLC

Default RE: Second Reciever Question

Just plug in the new crystal into the receiver, DO A RANGE CHECK, and go fly.
Other than the Futaba high/low channel thing, receivers are easily changed by just plugging in a different crystal although it is HIGHLY recommended that you stay with the same brand of crystal as is the receiver.

Crystals are "Plug and Play."
