Default the Best Radio (PCM version)

which of the following (standard version) radio has the best price/performance ratio in 8 & 9 channel catagory overall.

Relaibility , features, price , technology, and style should be cinsidered !

I doubt if there's anyone who has ample experience with all the radios listed to make a fair vote. You could search this forum or the radio manufacturer website for more info on each one

JR PCM 10X . . . . . . why it is not on your poll, along with the 9Z, is utterly beyond comprehension.

Who makes the best trucks:

Ford
Chevrolet
Dodge...

This question will surely get you similar varying results. Is there a correct answer?

Once you add price to the mix then the 9Z and 10X will have a really hard time competing with the likes of the 9C. For about 33% the cost of a 9Z the 9C has 85% (?) of its features... I wouldn't part with my 9ZAP WCII for anything, but I did not justify buying it on its price/performance characteristics!

Yeah, but the poll wasn't "What is the cheapest" or "What is the most cost effective" is was what is the BEST, which pretty much implies that cost is not a factor . . . .

If cost was not an issue then the MPX 4000 would certainly be tops for features and programming (having owned both the Futaba and MPX) but is a 12 channel radio. The EVO and 3030 should also be considered in the poll as they are both 9-channel radios. Good hunting!

You can't consider the Multiplex Evo, since he said PCM, and while IPD is many things, it is NOT pcm. Sad too, since I am really intrieged (spell?) by this radio, but the lack of PCM and (much moreso) the lack of availability on 50MHz pretty much killed it for me.
