Default hitec 555 maddness

My hitec 555 receiver has been experiencing intermittent "interference" when flying this morning but I don't think it coming from another source as I experenced the same behavior much later at home. When the plane is turned on (and my 9c is on with the antenna down) the controls occasionally go crazy including the engine starting and stopping. This can also be triggered if I put any pressure on the hitec 555 case.

Bad receiver?

Bad receiver....Sounds like something is loose. Anytime you can trigger a servo movement by handling the Rx it's time to send it in. just as a side note... avoid turning on your 9C or any radio with the antenna down for more than the few seconds needed to do a range check. always have either the 2 large base sections or the entire antenna up when it's on.

It sounds as if you may have a cracked PCB trace or a dry joint somewhere on the board.

Whatever the cause, don't risk flying with the receiver in that condition.

Have you crashed or droppped the receiver before?
