Default Helicopter Gyro

Would a twin rotor helicopter need a gyro?
And what does the gyro do any way?

Default RE: Helicopter Gyro

no heli actually NEEDS a gyro, but it makes it much more stable to fly... a twin probably wouldn't need one, but it wouldn't hurt... (I'm assuming a chinook type twin, an axial twin would need one, it could be quite twitchy without it)
