Default Spilt fuel on my 9 CAP :(

I have spilt some fuel on my 9CAP and it has seeped into the top dark display panel with LED''s. This has made it cloudy. The rest of the fuel has been cleaned. Can I open the back plate of the radio and get access to the LED area? I cannot see the area around the LED's clearly...

Thanks,
Anurag

Cloudy LED is the least of your worries. Fuel has some nasty corrosive properties to it, and it sounds like it propably got on some of the internal electronics. You should definitely send this in to Futaba to get it cleaned and checked.

well...silly me...I had the transmitter in the caddy with the model on top of the caddy cradle...the Tx was underneath the model at that time...I never do this normally...but this time i fueled it while it was on the caddy...the fueler nozzle slipped and went straight for the Tx

I am sending it to Futaba service center in singapore for a check up.

Thanks,
Anurag

Let us know if the plating bubbles up. I had that problem with my 8U's due to fuel on my hands.
