Default Home Made Y harness

I have soldered in servo extension wire to lengthen servo leads on several models with no problems. My question is, can I make Y's in the same way. Just solder the three sets of wires together with the appropriate ends. Thanks in advance.

Default I agree with MTT

But, still can't figure out why JR only sells one WITH an amplifier. When I asked Horizon if they supplied one without an amp they said no! So I installed a stock JR with amo in my 33% Edge and it works fine. Go figure?
