Default Futaba 9CAP programming

Hi guys & gals,
This is probably an old topic but I need your collective help....
I bought a Hanger 9 Ultra-Stick with four wing servos and the other three and found that my 6XAS radio was not equipped to handle the true Airbrake or
"Crow" function. I bought a new Futaba 9CAP which has that capability but for the life of me cannot figure out the, what appears to be, complex programming it takes to accomplish this. I am using a 138DP reciever.
The Futaba Instructions call for flap servos in the #7&8 positions but the reciever only has the seven slots plus one for the battery on it. I tried using a Y-Harness for the flaps but the left aileron would not function under that
configuration. If one of you would, PLEASE, post a detailed run-down of the servo set-up and how to program this thing....my old brain is a simple one so please assume that I know nothing and be very concise...
Thank you SOOO much in advance.

Default Futaba 9CAP programming

You should'nt have any problems using the 138DP reciever. This is the same rx I'm using in my UltraStik LW with a Futaba 8uafs, just followed the progaming in the manual and every thing works. While the manual does not have programing for the 9CAP it is very similiar to the 8UAFS. It's been over a year since I built my UltraStik but I believe I used a Y harness for the battery & throttle servo to free up a plug for another servo.

Go to the Futaba FAQ's and they have the answer(s) to the crow function.

You want flaps on an Extra where there is a servo on each aileron? To do that, activate Flaperon mixing and turn on Flap Trim to activate the flap function.

Can 9C have FLIGHTMODE FUNCTION ?If so, then how to do it?Eg, take off mode, cruise mode and landing mode controlled by a 3-pos swithch, so that have different setting pre-assigned at will.

CWL, no, the 9C doesnt have flight conditions.

Oldude, this is a complex model with a complex setup.

first, y0harness your battery into any channel with any servo.
second, visit the 9C faq at www.futabarc.com/faq and you'll find an faq specifically for setting up your model.

I'd recommend you don't try to use the instructions in the H9 manual, they have a lot of problems/errors.

I remember hearing about this and the guy use the glider setup to get the most out of the Ultra Stick. I don't know the details and I would recommend you go to the Futaba FAQ

Although there are no flight conditions, there are offset mixes where activating the mix sets the servo to a preset point.
