Fly JR with Futaba?
I just bought a used plane that has only had the receiver removed before the sale. Come to find out that the receiver that drove the servos was a JR and I use a Futaba transmitter. Can I just buy a JR receiver, install it and fly it with my Futaba? Or do I have to replace the servos with Futaba compatible servos and use a Futaba receiver?
Thanks, Bozwth

Fly JR with Futaba?
You will need to buy a Futaba or Hitec receiver with the Futaba shift to go with your Futaba radio it will need a to have the save frequency as the transmitter. The servos will work on both systems. I have Futaba, Hitec & JR servos in several planes. I use a lot of Hitec receivers with my Futaba TX. I have found them to be economical and I have not had any problems with this combination. I hope this helps you with some of your questions.

P.S. What transmitter model is it?

Fly JR with Futaba?
Jr uses positive shift and futaba uses negative shift. The serovs can be used on either system but the futaba transmitter has to use a Hitec or futaba receiver.

Thanks guys! Thats the answer I was looking for. I'll be putting in my Futaba reciever and going with that. Glad I dont have to get all new servos.
