Futaba 9c or 9z
Time to up grade my my radio. been flying with futaba 8uaf. I fly all gas will have my first 40% ready for spring.
[pitts model 12] I see that futaba came out with the 9caps super. been looking at the 9cap& 9z. Not really sure which way to go just looking for some advise on the two radios

I had both 9C and 9Z for a little while before selling the 9Z and keeping the 9C. IMHO, unless you need the accelerated frame rate and the CONDITIONS feature that's inherent to the 9Z, the 9C has easier and more flexible prgramming. The programming of the 9Z is archaic and in many ways does not allow me to program certain things the 9C easily accomodates. If you are a sport flyer, the 9C will serve you much better, feature and budget wise.
OTOH, if you the serious competitor type or you fly helis on PCM RXs mostly, then the 9Z does offer additional precision and features that might give you an edge. Then again, you might be better off waiting for the 14MZ, if you are THAT good.
