Default HELP! with new Futaba 9CHP radio

I just purchased a new Futaba 9CHP radio. I wanted to used the
ACRO funtionality to also fly my planes with the same radio.
The problem I'm having is that the ailerons and elevator seem to
be coupled and I can't find out how to separate them.
I've own the Futaba 9ZAP, 7 chan and 5 chan. PCM radios, so I have some familarity with the fuctions. I check to ensure none
of the program mixes were active or set up with AIL/ELV mix.
I made sure none of the swithes are dually assigned. I erased
all the model setting and started from scatch and this thing still
mixes the elevator and aileron.

Does anyone have any insite to this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Adrian

I have the 9CAP. You probably have the mix activated and I know this sounds stupid but spend some time with the manual if you already haven't and get to know your way around. I'm the average charge-into-it-without-reading-the-manual-type and I spent a half-hour or so with the manual and learned quite a lot. Look for the mix you describe and make sure it is INH in its menu.

Default HELP! with new Futaba 9CHP radio

It really sounds like elevons is turned on.

Please go into a completely blank model. change to acro. Press and hold the dial to store the acro change. it will say "sure"? press again to say yes. otherwise you are staying in a heli type.

Default HELP! with new Futaba 9CHP radio

Thanks tdean71 and amcross for responding to my question.
However, as I mentioned in the first part of the thread, I
checked and rechecked all the program mixes, each and everyone for 3 days.
I read the manual for each function( more than once) and verified
that the elevon and all the other functions are not active. I
deleted, added and used other models numbers to verify
it was not just model #01. The mode is definitely ACROBATIC.
I sent an email to Futaba TechSupport. I really believe this
is a defective radio.
I'll let you know.
Thanks
Adrian
