Default JR X378 Radio NEW Looks Impressive!

JR X378 radio for all types of flying:

I don't see any threads on JR radios, is there something I should know. I've read about the new JR X378 and I am impressed.

For the money ($340) that's not bad. Heli, airplane and gliders all in one radio! 7 channels!

What do you guys think?

Is the JR brand any good?

Not to start a brand war here but why not get 9 channels and more features for a few more bucks?

See the Futaba 9C here:

Well not to be picky but, "a few more bucks" is close to 110 more bucks.

I have been eyeing JR for my next one because I fly airtronics and I want to use that stuff until its dead.

I haven't heard anything about it. I have never heard anything bad about the 8103, but now here comes the cheaper 378 which will do probably anything I will want to do. Decisions, decisions.

The 9C in FM with 4 3004 servos is 379.00 plus they have 20.00 off until the end of december. You mentioned the price was 340.00 for the X378 and just thought this was a better deal for 20.00 more??

Default JR X-378 List of Features

I found more information on what the JR X-378 has in features.

http://www.jk-products.co.za/JR/Rad/X378.htm

I'm not an expert so if you see something it does not have and an average electric backyard flyer needs please let me know.

The nice thing about the JR X-378 and Hitec eclipes is
that they have negetive modulation and positive modulation
so you can use them with any recever brand

The JR can also use pcm recevers the Hitec can not.

I love JR radios. I have a simple 4 channel and an 8103. The 8103 is the last radio I will ever need for the next 50 years. I personaly don't like the feel of futaba radios but the jr feels, well, part of you hands and not like a box in your hands. JR is very high quality and trust the servos more than other brands.

Default JR X378

Only one problem... they have been on back order since I tried to buy one in November. I hate it when they put the ads out and can't ship.
