RE: 6V Rx Batt question...
Nope.....(assuming the Rx is rated for it... and most if not all newer ones are...)
some people will say yes.... but MANY of us run 6v with no regulator, no problem.....

RE: 6V Rx Batt question...
Thanks for the infor exeter_acres, that was exactly what I was looking for. It is a new Futaba FP-149DP, so it should be able to handle it.

RE: 6V Rx Batt question...
No, you don't need a regulator (assuming the reciver and servos can handle a 6v pack). Personally I use a 5 cells pack through a regulator to take it down to constant 5,7v on my Widebody. The reciver is a Futaba F118 (or something like that) and the servos are Futaba S148 and S3010. Some people say it is better since the servo speed doesn't change when the volt falls and it is "safer". Also if you do not use a regulator and the 5 cells pack is fully charged it may cause some problems in the beginning, but then the volt falls a bit and it's ok. I have used both with success.
