Hi, Bruce!

The R148DF is a higher quality, micro size receiver which supports 8 servos plus the battery (using a y-harness to your lowest drain servo). You should expect to see a slight increase in ground range with an R148 over an R127.

AnnMarie,

Can you expand on the y-harness thing. Sorry I'm still trying to learn all of these tips.

Sure, Chris. Your battery can be plugged into any port on the receiver (except the DSC port, if any). Ifyou're using 8 servos on a mini receiver htat has only 8 ports, you use a y-harness to plug the battery and the throttle servo into and then plug that Y into the throttle channel. This puts the battery and the least drain servo into a single port together.
