Default servo failure

I have had two JR micro servos (model 331) in two different airplanes fail prematurely. Both were on the throttle. Has anybody had similar experiences? I mounted them with the rubber grommets like the other servos. Throttle linkage was not binding.

Default servo failure

I think that JR micro servos are not suited for throttle application. Many people don't know that when engine runs, there is always a load on the throttle servo just like any other control surface servos. Btw what is the size of these planes...?

I never had a JR servo failure.

Well I don't understand I also just had a servo failure....I bought that servo new in 1991 or so....he as seen about 5 years of uninterrupted service in my Helicopters.....and then in airplanes ever since then.....they are not very good (4031)

ps: except for my extremely old servo's I have never had a failure of either Futaba or JR servo.

Default servo failure

What was the nature of the failure? Did it drive to one extreme? Just quit? Intermittent?

Come on now! I never said JR servos would never fail. I said that JR is a much better quality servo that is less likely to fail.

In response to ec121k, the servo just quit. The gear train was not damaged.
