Default Hitec Optic 6 - How to charge batteries

Obviously a newbie question, but here goes. I have a Hitec Optic 6 Tx and I'm a little confused about how to charge the batteries. The a/c adapter has two wires coming out of it. One has the round tip that plugs into the Tx. What am I supposed to do with that other plug? I'm not supposed to plug THAT into the battery am I? If so, that would seem ridiculous, but I'm new at this so I don't know. Please advise.

Thanks.

Larry, The little round plug goes into the tx just as you said. The other little flat plug is for the receiver batteries in the plane.
I set mine up on a simple[cheap] appliance timer. I plug the charger into the timer and set it for the 14-16 hour charge then set it to charge one hour a day and the batteries are ready to go when I am.

The other plug is used to charge the onboard receiver battery, in the model. It's usually hooked up through the switch. If your using a electronic speed control(ESC) with a battery eliminator circuit(BEC) you have no use for that plug. Just wrap it up and wire tie it to keep it tidy
