I don't use a regulator or anything on the plane that I have setup for 6 volts. I just plug in the 5-cell pack to the switch, switch to the receiver and all of the servos into the receiver. This is the first plane that I setup for a 5-cell receiver pack and have flown with it all summer. No problems!

Hope this helps,

Kevin

I do not use a regulator and I enjoy the extra power and speed I get from the pack.
