Default Spread Spectrum Radio, it's here

The first Spread Spectrum Radio System for park flies.

I hope this will spread into the larger aircraft.

Why are they advertising this for park flyers. Are there limitations that make it not work for non parkflyer applications? The first thing that comes to my head is range. I also believe that there are other devices on 2.4 mhz but they don't work in this band.

I believe it is range at this time, but you have to start somewhere. I am all for technological improvement in our hobby.

Based on the success that I have had with a Spektrum on surface frequencies, the folks that use it will love it. Been operating a couple of different models for several months now, no interference, and its so nice to just walk out and turn on and not worry about what other folks are doing radiowise.
